Look, Your Roof Probably Isn't "Fine."
A Note from the Team at Roofing Contractor Denver
Every time a storm rolls through Capitol Hill or the Highlands, we see the same thing. Homeowners walk outside, look up, don't see any missing shingles, and think they're in the clear.
They usually aren't.
In Denver, we deal with a specific kind of "dry" hail. It doesn't always smash things—sometimes it just bruises them. That's what we call Secondary Hail Damage, and it's the number one reason roofs fail 3 years before they should.
What we look for (that others miss)
When we come out to your neighborhood, we're looking for the subtle signs that insurance adjusters often skip:
- Mat Bruising: When the hail hits hard enough to crack the fiberglass matting underneath the shingle without tearing the surface.
- Granule Loss "Hotspots": These are tiny bald spots. Without granules, the Denver sun will bake that asphalt shingle to a crisp in one summer.
- Soft Spots: Like a bruised apple, these spots indicate the structural integrity is gone.
Why we're doing this
We're Denver locals. We're tired of seeing "storm chasers" from out of state descend on our city, slap some cheap shingles on a roof, and disappear. We live here. We work here. And we answer our phones.
